LlamaIndex is building the document infrastructure layer for AI agents - from industry-leading document OCR (LlamaParse) to a document workflow platform (LlamaAgents) that helps enterprises automate human knowledge work over documents. We're growing fast, and we need a hands-on recruiter who can own hiring end-to-end across the company. Your primary focus will be technical hiring - AI/ML engineers, infrastructure, full-stack, and developer tools - but you'll also support go-to-market and marketing hires as the company scales.
Job Responsibility:
Own the full recruiting lifecycle across the company: sourcing, outreach, screening, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and close. Primary focus on engineering roles, with secondary coverage of marketing and GTM hires
Build deep understanding of LlamaIndex's products, technical stack, and culture so you can accurately assess candidate fit and maintain a high-precision pipeline across both technical and non-technical roles
Source exceptional candidates for specialist roles using a mix of direct outreach, AI-powered sourcing tools (e.g., Juicebox, LinkedIn Recruiter, agents), and creative channels
Use AI recruiting tools effectively and responsibly - invest the time to tune filters and review output carefully rather than letting automated outreach run unchecked
Manage and optimize relationships with external recruiting agencies
know when to scale agency support up or down based on hiring velocity
Own and continuously improve the candidate experience from first touchpoint through onboarding, ensuring every interaction reflects LlamaIndex's brand and values
Partner with hiring managers across engineering, product, and GTM to define role requirements, calibrate on candidate profiles, and adapt quickly as priorities shift
Track and report on pipeline metrics, identify bottlenecks, and proactively iterate on sourcing strategies to hit hiring targets
Requirements:
2–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally with a mix of high-growth startup and larger tech company environments
Proven track record recruiting for niche, highly technical engineering roles (e.g., ML/AI, infrastructure, platform, developer tools)
Experience hiring across functions - comfortable switching between an infra engineer search and a marketing or sales hire without missing a beat
Hands-on experience with AI-powered sourcing and recruiting tools
Strong ability to assess talent
Experience managing external agency relationships and vendor processes
Demonstrated grit and longevity: you've stuck around at a high-growth company through the hard parts
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both candidates and internal stakeholders
Nice to have:
familiarity with the AI/ML ecosystem, open-source developer communities, or developer tools space
