Aviya has openings for Technical Publication Specialists in Mississauga, Ontario and Longueil, QC. We are actively hiring for this role.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical information and specifications for company products’ maintenance and overhaul manuals
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for various audiences
  • Create and include technical illustrations, diagrams, and schematics to improve understanding of maintenance and overhaul procedures
  • Ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements, company guidelines, and safety standards
  • Conduct usability testing and collect feedback from end-users to improve the quality and effectiveness of manuals
  • Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high accuracy standards

Requirements:

  • College degree in design and drafting or, AME certification
  • Must be able to obtain CGD clearance in Canada
  • Sound gas turbine engine knowledge
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Solid computer skills (MS Suite and 3D/2D CAD software)
  • Detail-oriented and ability to meet deadlines

Nice to have:

Familiarity with SGML or XML writing
