The Technical Project Manager will oversee AMS operations for Guidewire applications, ensuring effective incident, problem, change, and release management. The role requires strong technical leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues.
Job Responsibility:
Manage end-to-end AMS operations for Guidewire applications, overseeing incident, problem, change, and release management processes
Provide strong technical leadership across Guidewire modules (PolicyCenter / BillingCenter / ClaimCenter) including configuration, integration, data model, and batch jobs
Handle all types of production issues, including high-severity incidents, minor defects, enhancements, service requests, and stability improvements
Lead L1/L2/L3 support activities, ensuring timely triaging, resolution, SLA adherence, and effective escalation management
Manage ticket workflows in ServiceNow, ensuring proper categorization, prioritization, assignment, tracking, and closure
Drive operational governance through Azure DevOps (ADO) using boards for backlog and sprint planning, repos for version control, and pipelines for CI/CD deployments
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA), implement preventive measures, and drive continuous improvements in the AMS support model
Coordinate and lead major incident bridge calls, ensuring quick decision-making and communication with cross-functional teams
Monitor AMS KPIs, dashboards, and operational metrics, providing regular performance and trend reports to stakeholders
Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve complex functional and technical issues
Work closely with stakeholders to manage expectations, prioritize work, and ensure operational transparency
Lead and mentor a team of AMS engineers by managing workload, providing technical guidance, and driving team performance
Ensure compliance with ITIL processes and align support operations with organizational standards and best practices
Support release cycles, deployments, and environment coordination activities within Guidewire and Azure ecosystems
Demonstrate strong understanding of insurance domain workflows (P&C), policy lifecycle, billing processes, and claims operations
Manage cross-geographical team collaboration, shift rotations, and overall AMS resource planning
Drive documentation quality, knowledge base creation, SOP updates, and onboarding materials for support teams
Ensure platform stability through proactive monitoring, performance optimization, and environment health checks
Engage in stakeholder interactions, business reviews, and management reporting for AMS performance and improvements
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management
Strong technical leadership
Solid understanding of the insurance domain
Experience in managing end-to-end AMS operations for Guidewire applications
Experience overseeing incident, problem, change, and release management processes
