Join as our first Technical Program Manager, Operations of Also’s Program Management Team. You’ll be responsible for driving execution of manufacturing for our small electric vehicle products. You will partner with TPMs, GSMs, manufacturing, quality, and hardware engineering teams driving consumer level products through NPI. You’ll work with our manufacturing partners and supply chain teams to ensure we can productionize our vehicles to deliver quality products at scale as well as sustain product post-launch.
Job Responsibility:
Own the operations / manufacturing readiness NPI and mass production schedule — ensuring timely execution, factory bring-up, tooling, production ramp plans, and operational readiness
Integrate manufacturing schedule to overall vehicle program and development
Lead coordination between technical program management, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, engineering, and finance teams to align on build schedule, ramp readiness, production plans
Develop and track readiness of critical manufacturing and tooling equipment across global supply chains
Identify, assess, and manage program risks across hardware design, supply chain, cost, and manufacturing quality
Define and implement business processes, success metrics, and dashboards to monitor project health and performance, continuously driving improvements in throughput, yield, and cost
Work with global supply manager and manufacturing/quality teams to plan factory capacity, lead equipment budgeting, and ensure testability, manufacturability, and scalability of hardware products
Lead operational program communications across organizational levels, providing regular updates on status, risks, and mitigation strategies to executives and stakeholders
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
7+ years of overall experience
Proven track record in managing NPI programs and launching products into mass production
Strong leadership and cross-functional influence without direct authority
Experience working with overseas suppliers and contract manufacturers (especially in Asia)
Experience with complex hardware involving PCBA, mechanical assemblies, batteries, and plastics in industries such as consumer electronics or automotive
