Job Description

We're looking for a talented Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our team and accelerate data initiatives that help scale Rocket Money's technology organization. In this role, you'll drive cross-functional collaboration, strategic planning, and successful delivery of core technology initiatives, with a primary focus on data programs and projects. You'll work closely with the Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering and Data Platforms teams to execute on key data programs that impact our entire product technology ecosystem.

Job Responsibility

  • Place the long-term success of the Data team’s technical programs at the core of your responsibilities
  • Align initiatives across teams and departments, guide programs toward strategic goals, and monitor program-level impact and outcomes
  • Guide key programs such as Experimentation and Data Governance
  • Proactively identify new strategic opportunities and champion the overall health and maturity of the data organization
  • Facilitate the development of program OKRs, annual planning, quarterly roadmaps, program plans, and sprint plans
  • Ensure delivery and completeness by leading key activities: backlog refinement, planning, prioritization, diverse stakeholder alignment, resolving blockers, risk escalation, and maintaining comprehensive status views
  • Implement systems that streamline operations, reduce misalignment, and maintain high quality standards
  • Lead and coordinate large cross-functional projects for the technology organization
  • Champion the organizational impact of data by bringing data lifecycle considerations to the forefront of cross-functional initiatives
  • Serve as an extension of our Technology team when working with counterparts inside R$ and the Rocket Family of Companies

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading technical projects in a product technology organization
  • 1+ year in a technical program management role
  • Experience working with agile development teams
  • Experience partnering with Data teams and hands-on experience supporting experimentation and analysis focused efforts
  • Strong understanding of the Data Lifecycle and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in dynamic environments
  • Ability to track and communicate the ROI of deeply technical projects
  • Strong communication and emotional intelligence
  • Ability to influence outcomes without direct authority
