Microsoft Advertising is a rapidly growing business powering global advertisers across search, audience, and emerging AI-driven channels. The Measurement team builds foundational measurement solutions that enable advertisers to understand performance, optimize outcomes, and trust Microsoft Advertising as a results-driven platform. Measurement spans conversion tracking, attribution, cross-channel reporting, viewability, experimentation, and third-party measurement integrations. We are seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead execution across Advertising Measurement initiatives. This role focuses on delivering reliable, privacy-aware, and scalable measurement primitives that directly impact advertiser decision-making. You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Software Engineers to translate product requirements into shipped outcomes across complex, data-intensive systems.
Job Responsibility:
Drive execution for Measurement programs
Translate PRDs into actionable execution plans across conversion tracking, attribution, cross-channel measurement, viewability, and third-party measurement integrations
Coordinate cross-functional teams
Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Privacy stakeholders to ensure alignment, unblock issues, and deliver on commitments
Lead program execution and delivery
Run core program routines including planning, dependency management, risk tracking, status reviews, and executive communications
Shepherd releases end-to-end
Oversee development, quality validation, launch readiness, and post-launch monitoring for measurement features and platforms
Define and drive success metrics
Partner with Product and Engineering to identify meaningful success metrics for measurement solutions, and ensure telemetry and reporting are in place to track progress and outcomes
Ensure data quality and reliability
Drive solid practices around event pipelines, telemetry, data validation, and system observability to ensure accurate and trusted measurement
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience
3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience
8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
