Job Description

Our client is seeking a Technical Product Owner to support their consumer digital banking platform. This role sits within a mature product environment and will partner closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to drive roadmap execution and solution delivery. This is a highly technical-facing Product Owner role with a strong focus on solutioning, API/integration definition, and supporting agile delivery.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and drive product roadmap development for digital/online banking initiatives
  • Act as a bridge between business and engineering—translate requirements into actionable solutions
  • Write and manage Jira user stories, ensuring clarity for development teams
  • Provide high-level solution design (without requiring developers to act as solution architects)
  • Support agile ceremonies and function as a Scrum-aligned Product Owner
  • Define and document API integrations and technical requirements
  • Create and maintain functional and technical documentation
  • Help remove ambiguity and reduce solutioning burden from development teams
  • Partner with stakeholders across retail banking, digital products, and customer experience

Requirements

  • Experience as a Technical Product Owner, Product Manager, or Scrum Product Owner in an Agile environment
  • Strong background working with engineering teams on digital products
  • Experience with API-driven architectures and integrations
  • Ability to contribute to solution design at a high level
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and Agile delivery processes
  • Strong documentation and requirement-writing skills

Nice to have

  • Retail banking / financial services experience (strongly preferred)
  • Exposure to consumer digital banking platforms
  • Experience with tools/platforms such as: Candescent (Intelligent Banking Platform)
  • Terafina (NCR Voyix) – digital account opening and onboarding
