Join us as a Technical Product Owner at Barclays, where you will play a key role in shaping and delivering technology solutions aligned to strategic business outcomes. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate product vision into actionable delivery, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and compliant solutions.
Job Responsibility
Collaborate with product owners and other technical teams involved in the product development process and utilise their knowledge of the bank’s technologies to enact the vision defined in the product roadmap
Provision of subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development
Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team
Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well defined, measurable and secure
Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance
Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation that meets the banks performance standards
Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery
Requirements
Agile Product Ownership & Delivery - End-to-end ownership of backlog, roadmap, and sprint delivery across complex platforms, ensuring alignment to business priorities and measurable outcomes
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership - Strong ability to influence, align, and drive collaboration across Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk, and senior stakeholders
Enterprise Technology Expertise - Preferable, but not essential, knowledge of enterprise platforms (e.g. Pega, APIs, cloud-based services), with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and resilient technical solutions
Nice to have
Regulatory Knowledge (Card Scheme Disputes) - Experience or understanding of card scheme dispute regulations (e.g. Visa, Mastercard) and how these translate into servicing and technology requirements
Fraud Domain Awareness - Experience or knowledge of fraud domain is advantageous, though not essential
