Job Description:

The Technical Product Owner will lead initiatives to ensure the integrity and scalability of enterprise data solutions in the insurance sector. This role requires strong collaboration with data engineers and analysts, focusing on data pipeline design and quality assurance. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience are essential. Proficiency in Azure tools and data modeling methodologies is crucial.

Job Responsibility:

  • Define and prioritize data assurance requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data modelers, and analysts to design and implement data pipelines using Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Databricks, following DataVault 2.0 methodology
  • Monitor and improve data quality and integrity, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex requirements into actionable backlog items
  • Oversee testing and validation of data pipelines to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance
  • Document data processes, workflows, and standards for consistency and compliance
  • Stay current on industry trends in insurance, data engineering, and cloud technologies
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) to ensure timely delivery

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years as a Product Owner or similar role, ideally in insurance-related projects
  • 3+ years in data engineering, data assurance, or related technical roles
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Databricks
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and DataVault 2.0 methodology
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or Spark for data processing and analysis
  • Familiarity with data quality frameworks, validation techniques, and governance
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
