Job Description:

Seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead strategy and execution for our Private Cloud platform’s multi-tenancy, per-tenant virtual datacenter, and vApp service capabilities. Designs, plans, develops, and manages a product or portfolio of products throughout the lifecycle. Responsibilities include defining product strategy, identifying customer needs, and managing collaboration across teams.

Job Responsibility:

Independently leads and drives the end-to-end strategy and operational product roadmap
define and own the product strategy for multi-tenancy, per-tenant VDC, vApp orchestration, and related infrastructure features
identify customer needs across service providers, large enterprises, and cloud-native teams
build and deliver value proposition, target customer segments, and business case
synthesize market requirements into marketing/customer details
guide key stakeholders on portfolio strategy
create and drive goal alignment and collaborate across value chain partners

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study
MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering preferred
10+ years of work experience in related field
technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry
ability to collaborate with architecture and engineering teams
extensive team skills and ability to cross-functionally drive/influence work through others
ability to mentor and lead teams
knowledge of cost-efficient solution building, financial performance metric creation and analysis
knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection
ability to provide product-specific technical training to the team

Nice to have:

Experience with VMware Cloud Director, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and other infrastructure-as-code paradigms
knowledge of SP-class multi-tenancy, resource governance, and policy enforcement
ability to evaluate technologies for vApp management and multi-tier app deployments
