We are looking for a Technical Parts Specialist with expertise in diesel generators to join our team in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will provide exceptional sales support and technical guidance to customers seeking parts and accessories for diesel generator systems. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to apply your technical knowledge and customer service skills in a dynamic and evolving industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist clients in identifying and sourcing the correct parts for diesel generator systems based on their specific technical requirements
  • Provide detailed product information and recommendations to customers, ensuring their needs are met effectively
  • Serve as a technical expert on diesel generator components, explaining specifications and applications with confidence
  • Manage inventory by sourcing parts from approved vendors and coordinating stock levels for high-demand items
  • Educate customers on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of generator parts, offering guidance or referring them to technical resources
  • Diagnose and resolve customer concerns related to generator performance by recommending appropriate parts or solutions
  • Maintain accurate records of customer orders, communications, and transactions using company systems
  • Support sales initiatives by promoting relevant products and building strong client relationships

Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge of diesel generators, including engines, alternators, control systems, and electrical connections
  • Proven experience in parts sales, technical support, or equipment servicing, preferably within the power generation or heavy equipment industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-experts
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality customer service and build productive client relationships
  • Proficiency in using technical manuals, diagrams, and diagnostic tools to identify suitable parts
