Job Description

We are now seeking a number of Technical Operators, to join the Clawson family situated in the picturesque village of Long Clawson, just 6 miles from Melton Mowbray. As part of a small team, working intensively during the make up of curd on each production day, carrying out roles which will include hoop filling and pallet stacking, also other general duties associated with the Dairy and the manufacture of our cheese.

Job Responsibility

  • Report problems or issues as they arise, which may impact on product quality or production activities
  • Timely and accurate cleaning of the line and end of day dismantling and cleaning of equipment, tools, and work area where appropriate
  • Take personal responsibility for your own actions and respectfully challenge others where appropriate
  • Be responsible for and ensure product quality is maintained in accordance with quality standards
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures, Quality/Hygiene standards and Company Rules/Procedures are always adhered to
  • Undertake relevant training as and when required
  • Responsible as part of a team for the production and collating of all products in a well-presented manner in line with customer specifications
  • Show respect for colleagues, customers, and the environment
  • Behave in an honest, industrious, and uncomplicated way
  • Perform functions in line with training and work instructions

Requirements

  • Industrious and able to work under pressure
  • Good level of fitness - able to lift weights of up to 20kg and push/pull weights of up to 1000kg, in accordance with manual handling training
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (to be achieved within 6 months)
  • Adaptable/flexible to meet requirements and demands of production and seasonal fluctuations
  • Quality focused
