As our operations continue to grow, we are looking for multiple Technical Operators to join our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Breda. Technical Operator – (Semi) Automated Lines Amgen Breda is a key global supply hub where medicines are labeled, assembled, stored, and distributed to patients across more than 75 countries worldwide. Our site is home to over 1,000 colleagues representing more than 40 nationalities, working together across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, R&D, Commercial Operations, and Clinical Research. As we continue expanding our operations and introducing new technologies, this is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly automated and innovative manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibility
Operate and monitor highly automated production and packaging lines
Perform equipment set-ups, product changeovers, line clearances, and cleaning activities
Troubleshoot technical and process-related issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance
Carry out minor maintenance tasks and equipment adjustments
Monitor, verify, and document production activities using SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Support deviation investigations, triage activities, and root cause analysis
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using Lean and structured problem-solving methodologies
Optimize machine settings and process parameters to improve reliability and efficiency
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and GMP requirements at all times
Contribute to a culture of operational excellence and continuous learning
Requirements
MBO-level (or equivalent) technical education
Experience in automated manufacturing environments, preferably within assembly, labeling, packaging, or process industries
Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills
Experience using structured problem-solving methodologies such as RCA, 5 Why, or similar approaches
Experience working within a regulated manufacturing environment (GMP experience is highly preferred)
Familiarity with SAP, MES, or other digital manufacturing systems
Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
Good communication skills in English
Willingness to work in rotating 3-shift or 5-shift schedules
