Job Description

We’re looking for a Skilled Operative to join our team at our site in Wednesbury. As a Skilled Operative you will be working as part of the Production Team, conducting checks, documenting and recording against company procedures to legal compliance in food manufacturing at site.

Job Responsibility

  • Carrying out finished product weight checks against a scheduled frequency to ensure legal compliance
  • Carrying out label checks against a scheduled frequency to ensure legal compliance
  • Setting up printers including date coding on pack, correctly for each product run, against customer guidelines
  • Maintain traceability of ingredients, raw material and finished product to ensure product due diligence
  • Stock control enforcement, including managing fixed and WIP stock, reviewing paperwork and identifying any close to use by and out of use by material, to report to Section Manager
  • Carrying out product temperature checks against a scheduled frequency to ensure legal compliance and due diligence
  • Check QUID values against declared, on a scheduled frequency to ensure legal compliance
  • Record all rework reasons for report produced by Production Manager

Requirements

  • A good level of English and basic numeracy skills
  • The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
  • Good attention to detail and a responsible attitude to tasks
  • Be self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines

  • Manage the RCA and continuous improvement process regarding real-time operations issues, mistakes, and common practices

  • Assist in Real-Time Operations Specialist in understanding and identifying abnormal operations or alarm conditions that arise during the shift and appropriately troubleshoot in a timely fashion
