This position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for the efficient and timely production of products. Manage production budget and cost reporting requirements. Responsible for people management and compliance. Lead the manufacturing, machine shop, maintenance and facilities functions within budget and output targets to meet customer requirements. Full accountability for ensuring safety, customer quality, cost, quantity, and delivery requirements are met. Responsible for developing an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible production team by building working relationships ensuring that health, safety and environmental requirements are adhered to. Manage and mentor the team on best practices and establish standard policies and procedures. Implement and manage continuous improvement by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, work practices and processes.

Oversee daily manufacturing operations, machine shop and facilities and maintenance areas
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures
Responsible for plant production, financial performance
Assist with developing annual budgets and preparing a forecast for capital expenditure proposals
Effectively and efficiently manage the production of the required daily/weekly/monthly targets
Review processing schedules or production orders
Review production orders and ensure the target productivity level is achieved
Prepare reports using production data and create presentations
Approve expenditures as required for supplies, materials, or human resources
Set and monitor quality standards of products
Review operations and confer with technical staff to resolve production or processing problems
Drive process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
Coordinate or recommend equipment maintenance, modification or procurement of new machines
Identify and deploy internal/external technical resources and systems to deliver projects
Stay current on manufacturing processes, machinery, automation, and technological advances
Adhere to EHS and IATF 16949 Policies and Procedures
Handle confidential information with complete security
Manage, coach, motivate and develop a high performing manufacturing team
Communicate KPIs to direct reports
Develop, set and monitor department objectives and KPIs
Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required
Review and assess ongoing performance of staff members

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology
or related field required
Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of production management and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Must have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control
Excellent leadership and management skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization
Superior customer service skills and ability to develop strong partnerships with internal and external customers
Must possess a strong work ethic with a high level of accountability and responsibility
Must be proficient with computers and demonstrated skills in office applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Working knowledge of ERP systems required
Nice to have:
SAP experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred
Experience in automotive industry and understanding of IATF 16949 highly desired
