Job Description:

A high-growth, PE-backed software company in the mobility and automotive finance sector is hiring a Technical Operations Director to lead and scale its global technical operations function. The business is entering a major growth phase, moving from ~€100m to €200m+ revenue, and requires a leader who has successfully scaled operations through this level of complexity before. The Director will report directly to the executive team, overseeing a well-drilled organisation of ~30 people who perform strongly at the current run rate but need experienced leadership to mature, expand, and prepare for the next stage of growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operational Scaling & Leadership: Lead, mentor, and elevate a 30-person global operations team
  • Build structure, predictability, and scalability into processes as the business doubles in size
  • Introduce operational discipline, KPIs, and transformation initiatives aligned to PE value-creation goals
  • Platform & Cloud Operations: Oversee uptime, reliability, cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD across global SaaS environments
  • Strengthen monitoring, observability, capacity planning, and incident response
  • Ensure operations can scale to meet increased customer volume and global expansion
  • Technical Service & Delivery: Support enterprise customer implementations with robust deployment, integration, and environment management
  • Act as escalation point for technical blockers across delivery functions
  • Mature release management and environment strategy
  • Support & Service Management: Drive ITSM excellence across L2/L3 support teams
  • Implement SLAs, performance metrics, and continuous improvement cycles
  • Reduce operational risk through strong RCA and problem-management practices
  • Security, Risk & Compliance: Strengthen security posture across patching, access control, and vulnerability management
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/SOC standards and customer/regulatory expectations

Requirements:

  • Proven success scaling a technology or SaaS business from ~€100m to €200m+ revenue
  • Deep experience in technical operations, DevOps/SRE leadership, cloud infrastructure, and SaaS reliability
  • Strong people leader who can upskill, structure, and motivate a sizeable team
  • Comfortable in PE-backed, high-growth, transformation environments
