Job Responsibility

  • Perform routine on-site inspection, monitoring, and preventive maintenance of building services systems, including electrical installations, HVAC, plumbing, fire services, and associated equipment
  • Carry out basic troubleshooting and coordinate repair works with contractors or engineering teams as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical records, logbooks, compliance reports, and statutory documentation, particularly related to electrical systems
  • Assist in preparing submissions for REW-related permits, test certificates, and audit documentation
  • Liaise effectively with client representatives, facility managers, and subcontractors on day-to-day operational matters
  • Support emergency response and planned shutdown activities when required

Requirements

  • Valid Registered Electrical Worker (REW) Class A license
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in building services maintenance, preferably within commercial, industrial, or institutional facilities
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, as well as working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing & fire protection
  • Proven ability to complete technical paperwork accurately and on time (e.g., maintenance logs, test records, compliance forms)
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently on-site with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in Cantonese
  • functional English for report writing
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office) required

  • Take full ownership of a portfolio of product groups as the association lead contact for specific technical matters relating to conformity and performance
  • Contribute to horizon scanning, early assessment and interpretation of emerging regulatory and standards developments, supporting proportionate and risk-based industry approaches
  • Manage actions and priorities to ensure timely, high-quality technical input and effective member representation
  • Review, interpret and circulate incoming technical and regulatory information so member views can be formed and represented effectively
  • Write responses to consultations and calls for input, in collaboration with members. Create content for newsletters, website and publications
  • Maintain a close and regular dialogue with member company representatives to ensure their active participation in group activities
