We are seeking an experienced Technical Mo Cap Animator, you will create high-quality animation using performance capture data for characters, creatures, and cinematic scenes. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of passionate and experienced developers on a AAA project.
Job Responsibility:
Clean, process, and retarget captured data to digital character rigs
Collaborate with directors, animators, and tech artists to refine performance quality
Integrate animations into the engines
Troubleshoot mo cap rigs, and markers etc
Ensure animation quality meets artistic and technical standards across all assets
Work with the wider art, design and code teams to champion best technical practices
As part of reviews, able to provide constructive critique and solutions
Ability to self-motivate as-well-as motivate other members of the team.
Requirements:
Experience working as a Technical/ Mo Cap Animator on at least one published AAA console title
Extensive experience with MotionBuilder and Maya
Proven experience with mocap clean up tools
Understanding of human anatomy, body/ creature mechanics, and all animation principles
Proven experience working within Unreal Engine 5.
