Job Description:

As a technical measurement specialist you will be responsible for body in white dimensional quality. A successful candidate will be able to interpret CMM reports to analyze cause and effect of tooling adjustments, apply required adjustments and provide feedback to the die providers for single part improvements required.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for body in white dimensional quality

Requirements:

  • Must have a good understanding of dimensional technical specification, including car body structure, primary locating point, dimensional tolerance and measurement plan
  • Good understanding and analysis of dimensional issues in BIW and be the provider of solutions
  • Experience of dimensional optimization in sub assembly parts including tooling adjustments to achieve dimensional targets
  • Interface between the customer and floor integration team for quality related issues
  • Adjust tooling based on measurement reports of both single parts and complete assemblies to achieve quality targets
  • Development of action plans to meet quality targets
  • Feedback to die providers for required changes
  • Incoming parts inspection according to control plan which contain dimension and surface
  • Identify the out of specification parts during assembly, record and follow up
  • Check outgoing goods according to outgoing quality check plan
