The role of Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) at Hewlett Packard Enterprise involves being the technical expert on networking products, generating technical collaterals, building demos, and supporting sales, training, and competitive analysis activities. The TME is focused on Aruba's Instant On products, including switches, access points, and cloud solutions. Key focus areas include 802.11 technologies, networking protocols, and customer engagement.
Job Responsibility:
Be the technical expert across a range of Instant On switches, access points, security gateways, and enabling cloud management solutions
Prepare bleeding-edge demos in a small lab environment
Develop technical awareness of product capabilities
Lead technical updates in regions to educate about the roadmap, new feature introduction, and differentiators
Generate technical collaterals such as technical application notes, configuration and design guides, and in-depth feature descriptions
Assist in curriculum and training development
Review and develop white papers, technical briefs, and implementation documents for publication
Participate in and support technical forums and industry shows
Support escalations, troubleshooting, and assist the support organization as a subject matter expert
Conduct competitive analysis and documentation of differentiators
Provide sales force enablement with up-to-date battle cards and competitive reviews.
Requirements:
BSEE with 4+ years or MS with 6+ years in technical marketing, technical sales, customer support, or equivalent role6
Deep and comprehensive understanding of networking technology and the ability to develop strong technical knowledge of company products
Networking equipment evaluation experience
Solid understanding of 802.11 technologies and experience deploying WLANs and switches for enterprises
Strong understanding of LAN and WAN networking protocols and technologies, including switching, security, and basic routing
Good understanding of and experience with cloud services, cloud-managed network deployments
Well-recognized industry certifications such as ACMX/ACDX/CWNE/CCIE are strongly preferred
Outstanding communication skills and demonstrated ability in developing and delivering complex technical presentations
Proficient in presenting in front of various-size sales teams, customer audiences, and industry forums
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven experience in the design, development, and implementation of technical papers and reports
Experience with SMBs and transactional sales models is desirable
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple, parallel projects to deadline
Working knowledge of WLAN/LAN/cloud-networking competitive landscape when presenting to SEs, sales and territory managers, and channel partners.
