Job Description

We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Manager to join a fast-paced, innovative team delivering cutting-edge retail installations and brand activations. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for technology and how it enhances physical retail and experiential environments. You will support the implementation of emerging solutions—from interactive displays and digital screen networks to AI-assisted retail tools—helping bring engaging customer experiences to life. Working closely with senior technical leadership, you will contribute to delivery, testing and continuous improvement of technology-led activations across a range of retail environments.

Job Responsibility

  • Support testing, setup and deployment of retail technologies including interactive displays, digital signage and AI-driven tools
  • Assist with prototyping, R&D activities and researching emerging technologies
  • Contribute to the installation, launch and on-site support of retail activations
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, reports and system records
  • Collaborate with internal teams and represent the business professionally on-site
  • Ensure all work meets health, safety and compliance standards

Requirements

  • Strong interest in technology, particularly in retail or experiential environments
  • Hands-on experience in a technical, AV, digital or installation-based role
  • Comfortable working with hardware and software systems
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow technical processes and communicate clearly
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Full UK driving licence

Nice to have

  • Exposure to digital signage, RFID/NFC or interactive retail technologies
  • Interest in AI and customer experience innovation
  • Experience in retail, events or brand activations
  • Familiarity with content management systems for digital displays
  • Experience with prototyping, R&D or product testing
  • CSCS card or similar site qualification
