As the Technical Manager – Diving and Hyperbaric, you will be responsible for delivering safe, innovative diving and hyperbaric solutions across the full technical/engineering lifecycle. The role manages a multidisciplinary team, oversees technical outputs, and ensures engineering activities meet safety, quality, cost, and compliance requirements while supporting major commercial and defence projects.
Job Responsibility:
Leading the Technical/Engineering department in alignment with JFD strategic objectives and regulatory frameworks
Managing engineering capacity planning, resourcing, budgeting, and technical partnerships
Overseeing engineering outputs across safety, quality, cost, operability, and supportability requirements
Controlling engineering schedules, budgets, and reporting deliverables
Requirements:
Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
Hold an Engineering Australia Registration (or equivalent)
Demonstrated experience in a technical management role within the Subsea, Defence or Maritime sector
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor
Strong understanding of product design and/or design integration of engineering systems
Experienced in technical risk and mitigation management
Experience setting and delivering medium- and long-term strategies, budget and resource plans
Must be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance
