Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Technical Maintenance Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Clinton, Iowa. This role requires a versatile, detail-oriented individual who can address both automation and general maintenance needs within a dynamic plant environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, adaptability, and the ability to work across multiple systems and tasks.

Job Responsibility:

  • Diagnose and repair issues with production equipment and plant systems to minimize downtime
  • Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot automation systems, including older Siemens S7 platforms
  • Conduct preventative maintenance procedures and document findings for future reference
  • Analyze and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide maintenance tasks
  • Use AutoCAD for referencing equipment layouts and ensuring accurate system designs
  • Perform welding and mechanical repairs as required to support plant operations
  • Oversee the maintenance of facility vehicles and contribute to general plant upkeep
  • Handle electrical tasks such as wiring, sensor installation, and repairs to boilers and tensioners
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of all systems

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical or industrial maintenance, with a strong focus on electrical systems
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing equipment across both mechanical and electrical domains
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Skilled in performing preventative maintenance and documenting findings
  • Experience with welding, mechanical repairs, and general plant upkeep
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD for equipment layout and design purposes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning and adapting in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

Familiarity with Siemens S7 platforms and older automation systems is highly desirable
