Airbus Helicopters is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Leader specializing in SAP BI technologies (BW, Business Objects, BPC, SAC, SLT) to join our Information Management (IM) / IT Department within the Analytics Solution domain. In this critical role, you will be the technical authority and go-to expert for the SAP BI platforms, driving their adoption, ensuring their optimal performance, and guiding the technical direction for their integration within our data and analytics landscape. You will work closely with data engineers, IT architects, and business users to leverage the full capabilities of SAP BI to deliver valuable insights and solutions for Airbus Helicopters.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the primary technical expert for the Airbus SAP BI platform within the organization
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to data engineers and other technical teams on the effective utilization of SAP BI
  • Design and architect robust, scalable, and performant data and analytics solutions leveraging the SAP BI platforms
  • Lead the technical integration of SAP BI with other enterprise systems and data sources
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of SAP BI environments, troubleshoot technical issues
  • Define and enforce best practices, coding standards, and guidelines for developing and deploying solutions on the SAP BI platforms
  • Share knowledge and expertise on SAP BI with the wider technical community within Airbus Helicopters
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact with the central Airbus SAP BI teams
  • Ensure that all SAP BI-based solutions adhere to relevant security policies, data governance regulations, and compliance standards
  • Stay abreast of new features and capabilities within the SAP BI platform and drive their adoption
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation related to SAP BI architecture, configurations, and best practices

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
  • Proven and deep hands-on experience (typically 5+ years) working extensively with the SAP BI platforms in a complex enterprise environment
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, LSA++ architectures, computing platforms and data integration tools
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages relevant to data processing and analysis (e.g., ABAP, SQL)
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues in complex data processing pipelines and platform environments
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong ability to troubleshoot technical challenges
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Fluency in English is essential

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of the aviation or aerospace industry and its data challenges is a plus
  • Knowledge of French is advantageous
