We are seeking a experienced Technical Lead to drive ground level problem solving, unblock daily technical roadblocks, and support the successful delivery of a major enterprise transformation program. This role is highly hands on and requires a leader who understand the unique, intricate data behaviours of the higher education sector. You will be embedded with delivery teams, ensuring that complex integration's across core institutional platforms run smoothly. To hit the ground running, we are specifically looking for sector veterans who have prior experience navigating major university environments and already possess a deep understanding of how higher education data models and student lifecycles behave.
Job Responsibility
Ground-Level Problem Solving: Act as the primary technical point of contact to unblock daily development, data, and environment issues for the delivery teams
Technical Leadership: Guide and support developers and data engineers, ensuring technical execution aligns with project timelines and quality standards
Platform Integration Support: Troubleshoot complex data flows and functional challenges across enterprise Student Administration Systems (SMS), Core HR/ERP systems, and institutional data warehouses
Stakeholder Collaboration: Bridge the gap between business analysts, developers, and data architects to quickly resolve technical ambiguities
Requirements
Higher Education Sector Experience: A proven track record working within a university ecosystem. You must already understand the nuances, compliance rules, and operational data behaviours unique to the higher education sector
Enterprise Platform Knowledge: Hands-on technical exposure to major enterprise university platforms, specifically PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (Student Administration) and/or Workday
Data Set Literacy: Strong familiarity with core university datasets (including student enrolment, curriculum, finance, and staff data models)
Technical Troubleshooting: Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dive into code, SQL queries, or integration logs to resolve delivery bottlenecks
