As a Technical Lead at Prezzee, you’ll drive engineering excellence by guiding a team of developers to deliver secure, high-quality solutions across multiple tech stacks. You’ll lead by example—shaping architecture, writing clean code, and managing CI/CD pipelines and production releases. You’ll champion best practices, embed a DevOps mindset, and ensure your team is set up for success through strong technical leadership and collaboration. Job Responsibility:

  • Coding Practices & Architecture: Ability to design and build expert-level code
  • Design & write unit, API/Contract and behavioural tests
  • Pull request cross-team approver and arbitrator
  • Architect applications with particular attention to performance and cost
  • Apply architectural patterns to ensure information is secured at runtime, while at rest and in transit
  • Continuous improvement & best practice: Encourage innovation and foster an environment of continuous improvement
  • Set and ensure adoption of coding, quality, accessibility and secure code standards
  • Help improve code quality principles across Prezzee
  • Evangelise DevOps best practices, keep up with modern tooling and ensure business and team alignment
  • People Leadership: Assist in providing technical leadership and support to your team of engineers
  • Complete people related tasks including 1 on 1s, performance reviews, performance discussions & more
  • Show genuine care for the career development of your individual team members
  • Actively participate in team collaboration sessions e.g. tech forums, brown bags, strategy meetings
  • Collaborate with other teams as necessary to deliver software engineering solutions
  • At times partake in interviews and help attract & select world class talent to join Prezzee

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience crafting and building software using the latest delivery techniques
  • Ability to design, estimate and build high quality and maintainable code
  • Exceptional problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • A strong understanding of architectural concepts and cloud-based solution design
  • Demonstrable ability to motivate self and others
  • Experience working with technical and non-technical partners, with the capability to influence
  • Able to architect applications with particular attention to performance and cost
  • Experience mentoring other Engineers in best-practice
