The AWS Infrastructure Capacity Delivery Team is searching for a passionate and talented Technical Infrastructure Program Manager Intern to drive capacity delivery planning across multiple AWS regions. You will be part of a highly creative, efficient team tasked with tackling the most fascinating challenges in designing, building, and operating Amazon data center facilities. The team is ultimately responsible for project oversight, planning, and review of all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural. A fundamental understanding of these systems is required, as the individual will be expected to identify areas for improvement as well as act on data provided from other teams and organizations. Ideal candidates will possess the ability to design, develop and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges. This role requires both independent contribution as well as the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams. The scope of projects will include but is not limited to the improvement of electrical, mechanical, fire detection and building automation system.
Job Responsibility:
Drive capacity delivery planning across multiple AWS regions
Part of a team tasked with tackling challenges in designing, building, and operating Amazon data center facilities
Responsible for project oversight, planning, and review of all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural
Identify areas for improvement as well as act on data provided from other teams and organizations
Design, develop and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges
Work within multi-disciplinary teams
Scope of projects will include but is not limited to the improvement of electrical, mechanical, fire detection and building automation system
Requirements:
Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to a 12 week internship maximum
Are 18 years of age or older
Are enrolled in a academic program that is physically located in the United States
Currently enrolled in a bachelors or greater degree program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Construction Management or a similar field with a graduation date between December 2026 and September 2027
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level
Experience previously in program or project management
Strong technical and communication skills both verbal and written
Problem-solving mind-set, proactive issue resolution skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Experience with SQL, mySQL, or similar database languages
Self-starter who shows good judgment and instincts in decision-making
Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment
Quantitative analytical abilities and problem solving skills
Proactively and continually improve your level of knowledge about data center relevant technologies
