Job Responsibility:

  • Resolve fit, form or functional technical engineering issues on Aircraft components and for repairs required during the manufacture of the Bombardier Aerospace products
  • Find solutions to any related engineering problem with the aircraft structure and/or systems that is reported and raise necessary documentation to overcome the problem quickly and efficiently
  • Repair and/or salvage dispositions with respect to Engineering specifications, concepts and integrity of design, as well as, sign for dispositions on behalf of the Engineering department
  • Work closely with all specialists within Engineering, such as Design, Stress, Materials Technology, Aerodynamics, Performance and others as required in order to problem solve and or address any problems reported
  • Support Production, Design Engineering, Procurement & Quality in coordinating resolutions to issues and providing Corrective Action involving Engineering
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Provide status, updates & keep current on information regarding manufacturing changes & problems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or related field
  • Minimum of eight (8) years MRB experience or ten (10) years design experience in Aerospace
  • Excellent knowledge of aircraft structure & system installation technical requirements
  • Electrical & Systems experience (considered an asset)
  • Energetic person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high sense of commitment, and a willingness to accept responsibilities while acting independently in a high-pressure partner/supplier team environment
