Job Description

A large independent connections provider with a very broad and exciting range of projects. In addition to large solar connections, the company also works extensively with heavy industries, demand side response generation, battery energy storage and large private connections to the grid. Voltages range from 11kV to 132kV with project values extending up to £8m per scheme. It's the breadth of the schemes that really stands out and makes this a very stimulating place to work. The company is seeking a motivated individual who has broad knowledge and experience within either a predominantly civil or electrical background. Ideally the candidate will have plenty of on-site experience. You will use your industry knowledge to supply elaborate estimates for client projects; this consists of cost estimates and work time estimates. You will be required to ensure overall customer satisfaction, new and existing.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare cost budgets and estimates for new contracts
  • Ensure consistency across all project estimating and pricing, which consists of making improvements, providing new cost estimates, and maintaining compatible communication with the Client
  • Prepare thorough proposals for each Client, cohering to Client guidelines while also offering comprehensive cost estimates
  • Liaise with other company departments to maintain business development and continuously innovate new profitable outcomes
  • Keep precise records of all estimation documentation, including site assessments and contract terms
  • Time management awareness, balancing multiple proposals and estimations at once, ensuring each reaches the Client by the deadline and up to standard

Requirements

  • Experience in the industry, Electrical services such as HV switchgear, generators and Electricity Supply Industry – (DNO) experience would be an advantage
  • Minimum of 5 Years’ experience working within a fast-moving dynamic engineering company
  • Educated to HNC/HND level (or equivalent)
