We’re looking for a motivated Design Engineer – Structures to develop safe, efficient and innovative design solutions that support our shoring, propping and structural product range across major construction and infrastructure projects. In this role, based at our Ingleburn office, you’ll work closely with both customers and internal stakeholders — designing solutions, interpreting technical requirements, and providing the engineering insight needed to deliver safe, compliant and high-performing temporary works. You’ll also play an important part in improving our product range and staying ahead of emerging industry technologies and standards.
Job Responsibility:
Leading and promoting our Safety First culture across every design, decision and interaction
Responding to customer and internal enquiries by developing practical, cost-effective engineered solutions using our shoring, propping and structural systems
Collaborating with field teams and clients to gather the right information and ensure your designs are accurate, safe and fit-for-purpose
Providing technical data, drawings and documentation to help customers make informed decisions and understand how our products support their project
Identifying opportunities to improve product performance and engineering service quality, contributing to continual improvement of our solutions
Keeping up to date with the latest engineering methods, standards, technologies and software to ensure we remain at the forefront of industry practice
Coaching and supporting internal teams and customers to build understanding of our products, capabilities and design principles
Attending site meetings and providing on-site support to ensure safe and effective use of our structural solutions
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (minimum)
Around 1–2 years' experience in an engineering office or similar environment
Knowledge in design and drafting tools (Spacegass & AutoCAD)
Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with customers, field teams and technical stakeholders
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
Solid understanding of structural, civil or geotechnical construction methods
Strong solution design capability and customer-focused problem-solving approach
Advanced knowledge of Australian Standards and other relevant codes
Understanding of Safety in Design principles, regulatory requirements and best practice
