AtScale is looking for a Technical Education Manager to build, deliver, and scale world-class on-demand education for our customers, partners, and internal teams. This role is central to helping enterprises succeed with AtScale’s semantic layer, BI acceleration, and analytics virtualization capabilities. You will own the end-to-end development of our self-paced training content as well as the creation and management of AtScale’s certification program. The ideal candidate blends deep BI/analytics expertise with instructional design skills and a passion for simplifying complex data concepts.
Job Responsibility:
On-Demand Training Development: Create, script, and record engaging on-demand training modules focused on AtScale’s platform, semantic modeling, AI-driven analytics, and BI integrations (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Looker)
Develop learning paths aligned to customer roles—data engineers, BI developers, analytics architects, and business analysts
Keep training content aligned with AtScale feature releases, roadmap priorities, and real-world customer use cases
Apply best practices in instructional design and adult learning to ensure clarity, retention, and technical depth
Certification Program Ownership: Design and maintain AtScale’s certification program (e.g., AtScale Practitioner, AtScale Professional)
Define exam objectives that validate platform competency across semantic modeling, performance tuning, data virtualization, and BI tool integration
Build and maintain exam question banks, scoring rubrics, and recertification processes
Monitor program analytics to improve exam reliability, content coverage, and learner success rates
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Program Operations: Partner with Product Management and Engineering to stay ahead of new features such as autonomous performance optimization, AI-assisted modeling, and cloud data platform enhancements
Collaborate with Customer Success and Support to identify common customer challenges and create targeted training
Work with Marketing to position training and certification as a value driver for customers, partners, and the broader BI community
Manage the LMS experience for all AtScale learners—ensuring seamless delivery, navigation, tracking, and assessment workflows
Implement scalable processes for content updates across rapid product iterations
Build reporting dashboards that track learner activity, certification adoption, and training impact on customer outcomes
Maintain a high-quality library of reusable assets including demos, labs, semantic modeling walkthroughs, and performance optimization guides
Requirements:
5+ years in technical training, BI/analytics enablement, or education roles supporting complex data products
Hands-on experience with BI and analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Excel) and understanding their semantic modeling capabilities
Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, or Synapse
Strong understanding of data modeling, semantic layers, OLAP concepts, and query performance tuning
Experience creating video training content—scripting, recording, editing, and publishing
Proven track record building or managing certification or assessment programs
Excellent communication and technical writing skills
Nice to have:
Experience working with or training on semantic layer technologies (e.g., AtScale, dbt semantic layer, Cube, MetricFlow)
Understanding of enterprise data architecture and BI acceleration patterns
Experience with MDX/multi-dimensional cubes
Experience with LMS administration, SCORM/xAPI, and assessment tools
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous content tracks in a fast-paced product environment
