This role serves as a Technology Lifecycle Delivery Manager, responsible for ensuring technology services are designed, delivered, operated, and retired in a controlled, efficient, and value-driven manner. The ideal candidate blends service management discipline, cloud and data technical understanding, and cross-functional leadership to ensure reliable, scalable, and compliant technology services throughout their lifecycle. This role works closely with engineering, data, security, operations, and business stakeholders to align technology services with business outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Own and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data and cloud technology services, from intake and design through deployment, operation, optimization, and retirement
Act as a delivery manager for technology services, ensuring alignment with business objectives, service standards, and operational readiness
Define and maintain service models, service catalogs, SLAs, OLAs, and operational runbooks
Ensure service transitions from build to run are smooth, well-documented, and operationally sound
Partner with data engineering and platform teams to support Azure-based data solutions, including data lakes, analytics platforms, and integration services
Maintain strong working knowledge of Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Azure SQL, Storage, Monitoring)
Ensure monitoring, alerting, and observability are in place to support service reliability and performance
Collaborate with security and governance teams to ensure cloud and data services meet compliance, risk, and policy requirements
Lead incident, problem, and change management activities for assigned technology services
Perform root cause analysis and drive remediation and preventative actions
Track service health metrics and KPIs
identify trends and opportunities for performance, cost, and reliability improvements
Champion automation, standardization, and best practices across service management processes
Serve as a key liaison between technology teams and business stakeholders
Facilitate communication across engineering, data, operations, security, and vendors to resolve issues and deliver outcomes
Support vendor and partner management, ensuring third-party services align with internal service expectations
Translate technical concepts into clear, actionable information for non-technical audiences
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data, or a related field or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of experience in service management, platform operations, or technology delivery roles
Hands-on experience supporting data platforms and cloud services, with strong preference for Microsoft Azure
Working knowledge of IT service management practices (ITIL or similar), including incident, problem, change, and service lifecycle management
Experience acting as a delivery manager or operational owner for complex technology services
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across technical and business teams
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Nice to have:
ITIL certification or equivalent service management training
Experience supporting enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics), and automation frameworks
Experience in regulated or highly governed environments
Prior experience managing or coordinating vendor-supported services
