Technical Data Architect – Data Flows, Data Mapping & Data Structures – Financial Services! I’m hiring a Technical Data Architect to shape & lead the future of my client’s global enterprise data, database & application technology estate. A world leader in energy & commodity trading, they’re investing heavily in modern, scalable, secure systems that power their global operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Set enterprise data, database & applications architectural standards
  • Shape multi-year roadmaps
  • Identify and reduce technical debt
  • Define clear current-state and target-state architectures
  • Guide system selection
  • Champion innovation (including AI and automation)
  • Resolve technical challenges
  • Provide technical leadership to delivery teams
  • Translate complex requirements into robust, pragmatic architectural designs
  • Ensure compliance, resilience and long-term strategic alignment

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Technical, System and/or Data Architect with evidence of creating, implementing, maintaining and ensuring adherence to enterprise data, database & applications architectural standards
  • Strong knowledge of EA frameworks (TOGAF ideal)
  • Comfortable navigating BPMN Agile & Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience of systems, data, relational databases and the data flow, data mapping & data structures between different applications & systems within a financial services / banking or trading environment
  • Experience in some or one of the following: oil industry, commodity trading, CTRM / ECTRM, OrbusInfinity, iServer, Low Code Platforms and/or financial services
  • Excellent stakeholder management & communication
  • Ability to balance design rigour with pragmatic delivery

  • Hands‑on Solution Architecture and Build. Design and implement end‑to‑end AI systems, including data flows, RAG pipelines, agentic architectures, model orchestration, and real-time inference services. Produce working prototypes, reference implementations, and deployment-ready components
  • Pre‑Sales. Shape proposals, architectures, and delivery approaches for client opportunities. Partner with sales teams to define go‑to‑market strategies and articulate the value of AI‑driven digital products
  • Solution Delivery Leadership. Oversee the delivery of AI applications using technologies such as LLMs, Agentic and Generative AI, and predictive analytics with high architectural quality, performance, and integration with user-facing digital products
  • Thought Leadership. Track emerging AI technologies, architectural patterns, and tooling. Contribute to frog offerings, accelerators, and industry points of view
