This exciting role resides within the Digital Data Products Team, reporting to the Head of Data Products (Corporate Investment Banking (CIB)). The Technical Data Analyst is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective interaction between various business and technical stakeholders to deliver solutions where the primary objective is to transform data into meaningful and actionable insights.
Job Responsibility:
Communicating with data suppliers and various stakeholders to gather information around data sources (existing and potential)
Importing/Collecting, cleaning, converting and analyzing the data for the purpose of finding insights and making conclusions
Developing and maintaining documentation related to the data analysis process
Analysing processes to determine how to improve the automation of data processes (including Extract – Transform – Load jobs ETL)
Implementing organizational policies related to data governance
Preparing documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to team / management for decision making
Presenting data in graphs, charts, tables, etc and designing and developing relational databases for collecting data
Work closely with the IT team and data scientists to determine and achieve the goals of Digital Data Products
Assist the data scientist in development of new analytical tools and methods as and when required
Requirements:
3+ years business & systems analysis experience
Ability & aptitude for working in integrated multi-disciplinary teams
Knowledge of Agile Methodology & working embedded within an Agile team / teams
Degree or Diploma in data science, information science, behaviourial science, computer science, commerce or business administration
Must have completed a course in Computer Programming and have basic knowledge of at least one programming language
Banking domain experience, preferred
Experience or exposure in/to Systems Design & Integration
Must be proficient in creating SQL queries
Must be comfortable working in Windows and Linux
Should be comfortable with learning to use new tools like Apache Spark
Must be able to create or modify relational database schemas
