Job Description

The TechOps Engineer plays a crucial role in the successful implementation and deployment of Application solutions on hosted and on-prem customer servers. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams. The TechOps Engineer provides technical expertise, troubleshooting assistance, and user support during the deployment process.

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with cross functional Teams and stakeholders to plan deployment activities
  • Develop deployment strategies, timelines, and resource requirements
  • Coordinate with different teams to ensure smooth execution of deployment plans
  • Understand the technical aspects of the deployed systems or software
  • Provide guidance and support to teams involved in the deployment process
  • Identify technical challenges or risks and propose solutions or workarounds
  • Assist end-users in understanding and utilizing the deployed systems or software
  • Provide training sessions to familiarize users with new functionalities as required
  • Address user queries, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions
  • Create and maintain deployment documentation including procedures, user guides, and troubleshooting resources
  • Prepare deployment progress reports and provide updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Document and track any deployment-related issues or risks for future reference

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or other similar providers
  • Proficiency in cloud services like compute, storage, networking, databases, and security
  • Understanding of cloud deployment models, such as Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
  • Proficient in system administration tasks, including server provisioning, configuration management, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of networking concepts such as IP addressing, subnets, routing, load balancing, and firewalls in cloud environments
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMWare, Hyper-V, or KVM
  • Fundamentals of Business Accounting
  • Analyze various financial statements and checking accuracy
  • Invoice processing in accounts payable and receivable
  • Basics of Payroll Management
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network security groups, and data protection
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation would be big plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience in deployment support, software implementation, or a similar role
