Job Description:

In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for complex property cases, supporting our remortgage teams while acting as a referral point for technical and legal queries. From unregistered titles to lease extensions, you’ll apply your knowledge to resolve challenges, coach colleagues, and ensure the highest standards of compliance and client service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support remortgage teams with all legal aspects of property files – meeting targets, maintaining quality, maximising performance, and minimising risk/complaints

  • Act as referral point for queries – providing technical/legal guidance, coaching, and support to team members
  • Handle non-standard requisitions and draft/approve undertakings
  • Manage shared equity cases, full UK Finance Handbook title checks, lease reviews, and identify title defects
  • Draft key legal documents (statements of truth, undertakings, transfers, etc.)
  • Be the escalation point for complex client queries
  • Apply Money Laundering regulations to relevant cases
  • Identify training needs and support development of team members (including preparing/delivering training materials)
  • Manage complaints in line with company policy

  • Recommend process improvements across clients, workflow, and people
  • Support coaching and training design
  • Take on ad hoc tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Legal qualification in Conveyancing
  • Experience of full end to end sale and purchase transactions
  • Confident outgoing personality and able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and clients
  • Ability to prioritise work and use initiative
  • Demonstrate excellent Property legal skills
  • Ability to coach individuals to develop their knowledge and skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability and a willingness to embrace technology and change

Nice to have:

  • Sale and purchase, repo sales or new build knowledge and experience
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience of managing complex Conveyancing files
What we offer:
  • Excellent Annual bonus scheme
  • Hybrid working – 2 days in our stunning Leeds offices (you choose the days)
  • 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), increasing with service
  • 4 wellness days every year to recharge and reset
  • A modern workspace with open-plan seating, yoga classes, and an on-site coffee shop
  • Generous pension & health plan contributions
  • Career development opportunities across the PEXA Group
