VirGeo® is Fugro’s cloud platform for managing and sharing geo‑data across land and marine projects. Engineers, project managers, and geospatial specialists use it to access survey results, integrate external datasets, and make decisions on infrastructure, offshore wind, and energy projects—without losing time to scattered files and missing versions. We are hiring a Technical Content Marketing Specialist to own the VirGeo® content program. This role exists because we need content that reflects real technical understanding, not surface‑level marketing. In this role you produce content that stands up to scrutiny from domain experts, combining your own expertise with input from product, engineering, and commercial teams.
Job Responsibility
Own the VirGeo content program across LinkedIn, blogs, case studies, landing pages, webinars, email campaigns, and sales support material
Write original technical content based on understanding of geo-data, GIS, geotechnical, and relevant sectors
Gather technical input by interviewing internal and sometimes external experts
Develop webinar content and repurpose content across channels
Collaborate with designers, engineers and the Fugro global marketing team
Write landing pages supporting campaigns in offshore wind, infrastructure, and oil & gas
Validate all technical claims to ensure accuracy and credibility
Manage and align the content calendar across thought leadership and lead generation
Requirements
5+ years of experience in a technical, technical-commercial, or technical content role
Background in GIS, geo-information science, geology, geophysics, geotechnical engineering, offshore energy, environmental data, or a comparable technical B2B field
Proven ability to create substantive content from own expertise
Experienced in interviewing specialists and integrating their insights
Strong written English skills for a professional and technical audience
Careful and structured approach to validating technical claims before publication
Ability to manage multiple content streams simultaneously
Experience leveraging AI tools and agents for product marketing tasks
