We are seeking a Technical Consultant to provide technical presales support, hands-on installation and technical support across the UK. This varied role suits someone who enjoys engaging with customers during the sales cycle, implementing solutions hands on, and providing post-installation technical support. You will work closely with Sales, Presales, and Support to ensure customers receive a high‑quality experience throughout the entire solution lifecycle, from discovery and design through to deployment and post‑installation support. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your technical, presentation, and solution‑design capabilities while working within our friendly Technical Services team in a progressive international software organisation. You will play a key role in supporting the sales process by demonstrating product value, understanding client requirements, and shaping effective technical solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Provide technical presales support via phone, email, and online/onsite meetings
Conduct discovery sessions, solution design, and technical scoping
Deliver product demonstrations, webinars, and technical workshops
Assist with tenders, security questionnaires, and statements of work
Support Channel Managers with technical insights during opportunities
Perform remote and onsite installations of print, copy, and scan management solutions
Configure servers, MFDs, workflows, authentication methods, and integrations
Follow project plans and communicate installation progress clearly
Perform system testing, validation, and customer training as part of go‑live
Provide 2nd line technical support for print management, scanning workflows, and related solutions
Troubleshoot complex issues
Assist customers and partners with configuration queries and issue resolution
Reproduce software issues, document findings, and liaise with senior technical teams where required
Contribute to improving support processes, knowledge base articles, and best-practice documentation
Requirements:
Hands-on technical experience with print management software in production environments
Background in designing, supporting, or installing managed print solutions
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities in Windows, print environments, and networking
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to simplify complex concepts for varied audiences
Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
Good commercial awareness in customer-facing situations
Full UK driving licence required
Nice to have:
Experience with document processing workflows desirable but not essential
