Job Responsibility

  • Conducts regular technology related reviews
  • Proactively supports the development of new strategies and solutions
  • Supports the pre-sales process
  • Sells solutions and services as identified
  • Fosters good relationship with clients, vendors and partners
  • Maintains, improves and shares knowledge related to the information technology industry
  • May be required to coach and train Associate and Senior Associate Consultants
  • Reviews and evaluates client requirements in order to advise on the design, deployment and operation of infrastructures
  • Supports the development strategies and solutions that define meta-architectural designs for complexity solutions that will address issues such as styles, concepts, mechanisms and principles that combine to formulate the architectural vision for a specific environment
  • Supports research and investigation of emerging infrastructure technologies and the best practices associated with them
  • Continuously supports to the improvement of internal effectiveness by contributing to improvement current methodologies, processes and tools
  • Creating technical designs that serve as the foundation for implementation
  • Configuring and building complex solutions and providing technical support within projects
  • Designing data centers, including defining required products and estimating effort (hours) needed to deliver the solution
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of product developments within your area of expertise and testing new products
  • Independently executing consultancy and advisory assignments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology and/or Business Management or a related field
  • Advanced comprehensive technical experience in a similar role within a large scale (preferably multi- national) technology services environment
  • Advanced multi-technology infrastructure design experience
  • Advanced expertise coupled with consulting and client engagement experience, demonstrating good experience in client needs assessment and change management
  • Proven experience with IT infrastructures (minimum 8 years), including at least 4 years of experience in data center and edge environments
  • Relevant product-related and generic vendor certifications, combined with strong hands-on experience, for example: Cisco (UCS, Hyperconverged) Dell NetApp (Storage)
  • Data Management & Storage - Storage architectures (SAN / NAS / Object), Data lifecycle management
  • Data Protection & Cyber Security - Designing and safeguarding cyber resilience and recovery strategies, Defining and achieving RTO / RPO objectives, Product knowledge of Veeam, Rubrik, NetApp, Dell, Experience with technologies such as SnapCenter, SnapMirror, and SnapVault
  • Networking - Networking fundamentals, Data center switching (Cisco-based), Basic knowledge of VLAN, BGP / OSPF, EVPN / VXLAN fabric design, and overlay networks
  • Platforms & Automation - Virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and open-source alternatives, Microsoft Server environments, including Failover Clustering and Active Directory, Linux server environments, including High Availability clustering and integrated directory services, Automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and PowerShell, Hybrid cloud integration (Azure, AWS)
  • Additional Skills - Strong whiteboarding and presentation skills, Proven consulting and advisory skills, Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language (and preferably also Dutch Language), Valid driver's license (Category B)

  • Scaled Agile certification desirable
  • Relevant consulting and technical certifications preferred, for example TOGAF
