Job Description:

Exciting opportunity for a technical coding expert to use the best tech for Reinsurance Pricing modelling and tools. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a global reinsurer where you will be a key technical expert for processes and tools across the Pricing division.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain existing toolsets and develop and implement new tools and processes
  • Propose improvements to ensure the firm is the most efficient it can be
  • Provide technical input into the development of tools, including best practices on programming, development and testing
  • Take a business lead role in the delivery of transformation projects, ensuring all parties involved are kept up-to-date and that projects are sufficiently resourced

Requirements:

  • Strong programming skills with a required proficiency in Python
  • Familiarity with R, SQL, VBA, or similar languages
  • Prior experience in coding or developing tools
  • Detailed experience of the UK insurance market
  • Extensive knowledge of systems and tools used within Pricing processes and actuarial modelling
  • Both part-qualified or qualified actuaries (or those with actuarial experience) are welcome to apply

Nice to have:

Familiarity with R, SQL, VBA, or similar languages
