Gallagher is looking for a dynamic and technically-minded Technical Business Development Manager – Western Cape to join our Security team in South Africa. You’ll be at the forefront of growing our footprint across key verticals, managing channel relationships, and delivering innovative solutions that help protect people, businesses, and critical infrastructure. Reporting to the Sales Manager – Security South Africa, this is a unique opportunity to lead with influence in a fast-paced, future-focused industry. Job Responsibility:

  • Execute business development plans to grow revenue and strengthen Gallagher’s presence across the Western Cape
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with channel partners, consultants, and end users - becoming their trusted advisor
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive penetration in key industry verticals
  • Retain and grow existing client relationships by anticipating needs and delivering outstanding solutions and support
  • Collaborate with internal technical, sales, and operational teams to deliver value-added proposals, tenders, and project outcomes
  • Deliver accurate forecasts and activity tracking through CRM and reporting tools
  • Stay informed of regional market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in B2B business development or sales (with a focus on IT or security systems)
  • A tertiary qualification in business, engineering, marketing, or a related field
  • Proven skills in strategic planning, technical sales, and market development
  • Confidence managing key client relationships and developing channel partner networks
  • Strong project management, negotiation, and communication skills
  • A customer-centric mindset and solutions-focused approach
  • Knowledge of the security or IT industries and comfort engaging with consultants, engineers, and business leaders
