Technical Business Analyst – London | Transformation Office | Investment Management. Our client are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join their Transformation Office and play a key role in delivering a complex portfolio of investment management change initiatives. This is a high-impact, internal-customer-facing role sitting at the intersection of business, product, and technology. You’ll combine structured analysis, technical curiosity, and delivery ownership to shape and implement meaningful change across front, middle, and back-office functions. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, Data & Technology teams, and external vendors — operating semi-independently while driving clarity, accountability, and progress across multiple workstreams.
Job Responsibility:
Shape business cases for major technology investments in collaboration with senior stakeholders
Lead one or more workstreams within a complex, global transformation programme across the full SDLC
Manage vendor relationships and ensure successful end-to-end delivery
Integrate business and technical perspectives into a cohesive solution vision
Partner with business owners to document process flows, business rules, and detailed requirements
Produce impact assessments across teams, systems, and processes
Apply a broad range of BA tools and techniques to drive clarity and shared understanding
Document functional designs, sequence diagrams, and work breakdown structures
Clearly articulate build and test requirements for technology teams
Proactively manage stakeholder expectations around scope, risks, dependencies, and progress
Lead and participate in testing activities: planning, scripting, execution, and defect triage
Identify and communicate technical constraints and delivery risks
Drive change management and adoption, including defining and tracking KPIs/OKRs post-implementation
Ensure adherence to information security policies and processes
Maintain compliance with local data protection regulations and privacy controls
Requirements:
5–10 years experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Project Manager, or hybrid PM/BA in a technology or software delivery environment
Proven experience delivering large projects through the full SDLC
Strong Agile delivery experience
Consultancy experience preferred
Ability to query relational databases and understand programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Java)
Experience building visual mock-ups (e.g., Balsamiq, Lucid, Visio)
Strong capability in process diagrams, user stories, Gantt charts, and entity relationship diagrams
Curious, analytical mindset with a focus on process and functional improvement
Confident communicator across business and technical audiences
Comfortable coordinating cross-functional teams across multiple locations
Structured, detail-oriented, and delivery-focused
Strong academic record preferred (Bachelor’s degree desirable but not essential)
