Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Technical Assistant to provide technical and laboratory support in nursing and allied health simulation. This position has a specialised focus and as such would ideally suit an individual with skills and experience from an allied health, nursing or nursing simulation background. There are physical capability requirements inherent to this position thus as part of this recruitment, a pre-employment functional screening is required.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with the preparation and breakdown of classes
  • Support the learning, teaching and research needs of the University
  • Work in a productive and efficient team environment
  • Provide technical and laboratory support in nursing and allied health simulation
  • Provide a range of technical support across all Schools in the Faculty
  • Focus on the preparation and breakdown of classes
  • Provide assistance during classes under the guidance of teaching staff
  • Ensure the safe operation of specialised equipment
  • Maintain inventories
  • Assist with audits and risk management processes as required
