Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a Professional Engineering designation (P Eng) with APEGA
Minimum 6 years of pipeline industry experience required such as experience on pipeline routing selections and design and working with geotechnical and hydro technical hazards
In depth, detailed knowledge of applicable codes such as CSA Z662, DOT CFR 192, DOT CFR 195, ASME B31, NACE, etc. Familiarity and knowledge of materials standards & specifications (CSA, ASME, API, etc.). Effective interpersonal skills which include working a team focused environment and communication skills

Job Responsibility

Ensure that all pipelines and associated facilities are designed in accordance with all regulations, applicable industry codes and corporate specifications and standards
Responsible for scheduling, cost control (cost estimates), and forecasting for the design work and for reporting these to the Pipeline Engineering Supervisor and Project Manager
Provide guidance in design reviews with outside engineering firms and with internal stakeholders
Work with Procurement & Supply Chain team to purchase materials and to contract Engineering related service providers
