Job Description:

Technical Assistant will be reporting to Head of Training Construction. The incumbent will be required to provide academic assistants to all TVET staff of the technical training division of NTPC by performing teaching or non-teaching related duties such as conducting practical, developing teaching materials, maintenance and repairs of training equipment and preparing and giving assessments and examinations. He/she is responsible for ensuring that all activities associated with practical training and assessments are in readiness, with application of OHS principles constantly at work.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide academic assistants to all TVET staff of the technical training division of NTPC by performing teaching or non-teaching related duties such as conducting practical, developing teaching materials, maintenance and repairs of training equipment and preparing and giving assessments and examinations
  • Ensure that all activities associated with practical training and assessments are in readiness, with application of OHS principles constantly at work

Requirements:

  • Trade Certificate in Cabinet Making/Carpentry & Joinery
  • 3 years’ relevant work experience
  • Cert IV in TAE OR Certificate in Teaching of TVET (Level 5) AND TOTS 1-4
