Join a global leader in defense technology as a Technical Assembler in Zaventem, where you will help build a brand-new, innovation-driven assembly hub. On behalf of a world-renowned specialist in cutting-edge night vision and thermal imaging systems, we are looking for a detail-oriented Technical Assembler. In this role, you will be part of the initial team of 8 technicians, playing a crucial part in the setup and ramp-up of a state-of-the-art facility in Zaventem. Job Responsibility:

  • Precision Assembly: Assemble high-precision optical and electronic instruments according to detailed specifications, drawings, and SOPs
  • Electronics Expertise: Perform meticulous micro-soldering and rework under magnification, ensuring strict ESD control
  • Quality & Calibration: Execute in-process electronic quality checks, program modules, and document all results for full traceability
  • Technical Maintenance: Apply thermal adhesives and silicones with precision, and verify torque settings per validated processes
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify non-conformities and collaborate with engineering teams on troubleshooting and optimizing the new assembly line
  • Workplace Standards: Maintain a clean and organized workstation following 5S principles and safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent through experience) in Electronics or a related technical field
  • At least 3 years of relevant industrial experience, with technical or precision assembly considered a strong asset
  • Excellent manual dexterity, high attention to detail, and a methodical, hands-on approach
  • A fast learner who is curious and willing to invest in a long-term, high-growth industrial project
  • Good working level of English (min. B2) and fluency in either French or Dutch
  • European citizenship (no permit sponsorship available)
