You’ll join the Character-Based Artist Studio Team to help build foundational ideas and concepts for a leader in the gaming industry including e-sports, e-tournaments, and entertainment. This is a 6 - 12 month opportunity. The role is located in Los Angeles, California and is remote working West Coast Hours.
Job Responsibility:
Provide technical support to Artists and collect data to further improve the tools they use
Identify and build foundational pipelines and tools
Identify gaps in tools & workflows and make recommendations to leadership for targeted improvements
Collaborate with Production to develop a long-term strategy to maintain and evolve the art workflows
Build relationships with the Artists and Engineers to understand their needs and provide consultation on tool and pipeline development
Provide guidance and support to Technical Artists in the form of code reviews, testing, and feedback
Requirements:
5+ years of professional experience as a Technical Artist in Games or Related Industries
Experience in Mobile and or AAA Development (high-budget, high-profile video games)
Expertise in content creation and tool development in Digital Content Creation Software Tools especially Maya, Photoshop, and Substance Designer/Painter
Proficiency in Python Programming & working in Unreal Engine
Candidates will be expected to provide a portfolio or demo reel of their work and may be asked to complete an Art Test
Strong understanding of the Game Asset Art Pipeline
