Technical Architect

• Lead the technical design of large and highly complex systems, ensuring quality, performance, and compliance
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across the project lifecycle to embed architectural considerations into all phases of delivery
• Provide technical guidance, governance, and mentorship to development and delivery teams
• Evaluate technical designs, changes, and proposals, making recommendations and assessing associated risks
• Develop technology roadmaps and evaluate emerging technologies to inform future solutions
• Act as a technical authority during client engagements, proof-of-concepts, and pre-sales activities
• Establish and enforce architectural principles, standards, and best practices, including security and compliance considerations
• Support internal capability development, including mentoring junior staff and promoting knowledge sharing

• Extensive experience designing and delivering complex technology solutions, ideally in public sector, government, or other highly regulated environments
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, NAF, or Zachman
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and DevOps/CI-CD practices
• Strong understanding of Web Applications, Microservices, APIs, authentication/authorization protocols, and data architecture
• Knowledge of secure software development practices, GDPR, OWASP, and NCSC cloud security principles
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience providing guidance to senior stakeholders and influencing solution design across multiple teams
• Track record of mentoring and developing internal teams, promoting best practices and capability growth
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to provide innovative solutions in complex environments
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience in highly regulated environments (government, defence, or equivalent)
• Valid SC Clearance is required

Experience delivering AI-based solutions, real-time data integration, or IoT solutions is advantageous
