As Manager, Technical Architecture for APAC on Notion’s Professional Services team, you will lead and scale a high-performing group of Technical Architects across Australia, New Zealand, and the broader APAC region. In this role, you will be responsible for regional delivery excellence and people leadership, while also remaining an active technical contributor. You will regularly engage in hands-on customer work and, as needed, directly own and deliver complex engagements alongside your team.
Job Responsibility:
Build, manage, and develop Technical Architects across ANZ and APAC/APACx
Set clear expectations for technical quality, delivery standards, and customer outcomes
Lead performance management, career development, and succession planning
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing regional culture
Lead and deliver complex enterprise implementations, migrations, and integrations
Independently own customer engagements when needed, from discovery through execution
Partner with team members on shared engagements, providing hands-on technical leadership
Design and review architectures, migration strategies, and integration approaches
Build custom tooling, automations, and integrations to support customer workflows
Serve as a senior technical leader on strategic or high-impact accounts
Act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers and partners
Support pre-sales discovery, scoping, and technical validation
Engage with executive and senior stakeholders on complex implementations
Align customer objectives with Notion’s platform capabilities
Establish and evolve regional delivery playbooks, standards, and methodologies
Improve predictability around technical estimation, resourcing, and execution
Partner with global leadership on capacity planning and hiring strategy
Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and delivery reviews
Translate regional implementation challenges into actionable product and tooling feedback
Represent APAC customer needs in global roadmap discussions
Champion internal tooling, automation, and AI-enabled workflows
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in customer-facing engineering, technical consulting, or professional services
2+ years of experience managing technical teams
Proven ability to balance people leadership with direct customer delivery
Strong technical foundation in APIs, integrations, and system architecture
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Node.js, Python, SQL, Java)
Experience leading enterprise-scale migrations, integrations, or platform transformations
Excellent communication skills across technical and executive audiences
Track record of leading complex projects in fast-paced, high-growth environments
You don’t need to be an AI expert, but you’re curious and willing to adopt AI tools to work smarter and deliver better results
Nice to have:
Experience leading teams in Australia, New Zealand, and broader APAC markets
Background in SaaS professional services in high-growth environments
Experience building regional delivery programs in new or expanding markets
