Join us at Barclays as a Technical Architect Delivery Manager. At Barclays, we’re redefining the future of financial technology and payment services. We are looking for a highly capable Technical Architect Delivery Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex technology and business change initiatives within a fast-paced payment processing environment. This role offers the opportunity to work across large-scale transformation programmes, collaborating with senior stakeholders, architecture teams, engineering functions, and business leaders to deliver strategic outcomes that support Barclays’ innovation and regulatory commitments.

Job Responsibility

  • Management of the delivery, resource allocation and improvement of complex technical project capabilities across the bank using Agile/Scrum methodologies for planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives and the execution of sprints
  • Collaboration with customers and business teams to manage and implement customer trails to support the proposal of technically feasible solutions, and effort and timeline expectations
  • Collaboration with software engineers, quality teams, product managers and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality products and features through the software product lifecycle aligned to the banks objectives, regulation and security policies
  • Identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks associated with technical projects to prepare the bank for potential challenges
  • Management of change requests and communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Management of vendor relations involved in technical projects to ensure they deliver according to agreed terms
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improving deliver outcomes and to foster a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence and growth

Requirements

  • Strong experience in technical analysis within complex payment processing environments
  • Proven capability in defining business and technology requirements for enterprise-scale change
  • Familiarity with Scrum techniques and Agile delivery methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience managing the delivery of complex change across multiple teams and business areas
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to present and consult on complex topics with senior audiences
  • Strong organisational and coordination abilities with a focus on delivery outcomes

  • Experience delivering change within large regulatory transformation programmes
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments, proactively identifying and driving solutions
